First Day of School

Today began with rain. We left early because Nonna had a doctor's appointment. Here they are waiting. The appointment took too long and Dennis was late for school.

We told the school he would be late in advance.








Here is Dennis with his teacher, Mrs. C, after school. The rain was gone by the afternoon.


















Here Dennis waits to be picked up by Grampa after school.












This is Room 52, Dennis' classroom. Two girls are cleaning the board after school. The teacher assigned an American boy, Tim, to be Dennis' buddy. Tim would help him with what he missed in the morning. Dennis favorite subject is math.









After leaving school, we went to a friend's house to pick up a rice cooker. Ms. Jackie has hosted twenty exchange students, so she knows what to do. She gave Dennis a Star Wars Lego Set which brought the first big smile of the day.

We used the cooker for dinner and Dennis also had vegetarian potstickers and beef.






While dinner was being prepared in the kitchen, Dennis began assembling the Star Wars set in the dining room.

















Dennis had a nap at the doctor's office (jet lag) and so now at 7:15pm he is still working on Star Wars.

We leave in the morning for school at 7:45am - school starts at 8:30am.
